Paul O’Rear is the Involvement and Education Minister for the Brown Street Church of Christ.
Prior to coming to Brown Street in 1989 as Youth Minister, he served the Weber Road Church of Christ in Corpus Christi, Texas, as Youth Minister. He transitioned out of youth ministry into his current role in 2008.
Paul attended Texas A&M University, but began his ministry career prior to completing his degree.
Paul and his wife, Susan, have two children. Their daughter Ashley died of cancer at age 14 in 2001. Paul has written and published a book entitled Living With a Broken Heart, chronicling his family’s experience with grief.
