So, what should you expect when you visit us?

A WARM WELCOME

We love people! And we try to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed. When you first walk through the doors on Sunday morning, there will probably be someone who will greet you immediately and hand you an announcement sheet for the day.

BIBLE CLASSES FOR EVERYONE

Studying God’s word is one of the most important things we do together as a family of God’s people. On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, we have Bible classes for the youngest to the oldest. There are Bible class lists posted throughout the church building, or you can ask any of our members to help you find the right classes for you and your family.

A CAPPELLA SINGING

One of the things that may surprise you about our worship service is our singing. For the musical part of our worship, the whole congregation sings together, lifting our voices in praise to God as we worship Him.

A cappella singing is part of our unique heritage among churches of Christ, but it is much more than just a tradition. We believe it is the way God wants to be worshiped.

THE LORD’S SUPPER

Every Sunday, we take time in our worship service for baptized believers to partake of the Lord’s supper. There are two components of this special observance:

1. The unleavened bread represents Jesus’ body as He hung on the cross.
2. The fruit of the vine (grape juice) represents Jesus’ blood that He shed on the cross for our salvation.

Together, these emblems serve to remind us weekly of the sacrifice Jesus made for each one of us.

THE CONTRIBUTION

Each Sunday we take up a collection, usually right after the Lord’s Supper. The funds that are collected are overseen by our elders, and are used to finance the many different ministries and missions that this congregation is involved in.

As our guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in the contribution. When the collection basket is handed to you, you may simply pass it on to the next person.

SIMPLE BIBLE PREACHING

God’s word is central to everything we believe and do. When you visit one of our worship services, the preaching you hear will be Bible-based, with a strong emphasis on how God’s word applies to our lives today.

ATTENDANCE CARDS

At the end of the worship service, one of our elders will ask members and visitors to fill out an attendance card and pass it toward the aisles to be picked up by some of our young men. We would love to have a record of your visit, and would appreciate your taking a moment to fill out a card for that purpose.
